When it comes to holiday candy, I am all about the candy canes. I've been this way since I was a kid. I LOVE them. Over the years I've come to love making all sorts of things with them. I use them to decorate gingerbread houses, crush up over brownies, and even make ice cream. This candy cane ice cream sundae recipe I have is SO simple. But, the best part about it is making the ice cream and then making the sundae.
The sundae is soooo delicious, and a great way to use up all those candy canes around the house. If you want this awesome frozen treat this season look no further. You will love everything about it and your kids will too!
Candy Cane Ice Cream Sundae Recipe
This candy cane ice cream sundae recipe I have is SO simple. But, the best part about it is making the ice cream and then making the sundae.

vanilla ice cream: 1 quart
candy canes: 5 or 6, crushed
peppermint extract: ½ teaspoon
Hot fudge: for drizzling
Whipped cream: generous amount
Sprinkles: red, green and white
Step 1: Allow the ice cream to soften so that it can easily be stirred with a spoon.
Step 2: Stir in the crushed candy canes and extract and place back in the freezer to harden. At least 5 hours.
Step 3: To make the sundae, scoop out some of the frozen ice cream into a bowl. Top with hot fudge, whipped cream, and sprinkles. Serve!
